Every line above is a National Item Identification Number that the Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting right now. We only count solicitations whose quote deadline has not yet passed, and we only show aviation federal supply classes, so nothing here is expired and nothing here is a ship fitting.
The ranking is demand, not opinion. Items are ordered by how many separate open solicitations reference that NSN. When two items are tied, the one with the larger total quantity sought ranks higher. There is no editorial weighting, no promoted placement, and nobody can pay to appear here.
What each column tells you:
Open RFQs — how many live solicitations name this NSN. More separate buys means recurring, not one-off, demand.
Quantity — total units across those solicitations.
Next due — the soonest quote deadline. Once it passes, that solicitation drops off this list automatically.
Restricted or open — taken from the government’s own AMSC code. Restricted means only approved sources may quote. Open means anyone technically qualified can.
Government price — the most recent unit price on record for that NSN in the government’s item management data. It is a reference point, not a target, and not a guarantee of what will be paid next.
Approved sources — how many CAGE codes are listed as approved for the item. Fewer sources generally means less competition. If your own CAGE is one of them, we flag it.
The underlying solicitation data is harvested from DIBBS twice a day, so this list is never more than a few hours behind the government’s own posting.
One thing this list is not: it is not derived from activity on this site. It is open government demand, and every line can be verified against the solicitation number at DIBBS.
