Questions people ask before they search
What is the difference between an NSN and a NIIN?
An NSN is 13 digits: a 4-digit Federal Supply Class followed by the 9-digit NIIN. The NIIN alone identifies the item anywhere in the system; the FSC says what kind of item it is. Search either here.
What is an MCRL cross-reference?
The Master Cross Reference List maps manufacturer part numbers and CAGE codes to NSNs. One part number can sit under several NSNs and one NSN can carry many part numbers. Our search shows the whole set, not one match.
What is a PMA alternate, and is it legal?
An FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval lets a company other than the OEM produce a part for a certificated aircraft. It is an FAA-approved part, not a copy. Where one exists for a part you search, we show the holder next to the OEM source.
What does "no ghost parts" mean?
A listing only appears in search while its seller has confirmed it within the last 60 days. Stock that nobody stands behind drops out automatically, so what you see is what you can buy.
What is a DLA watch?
Paste part numbers, NSNs or CAGE codes and we email you when they appear on a DLA or SAM.gov solicitation, or when an award is made. Free.
What does it cost?
